We’re talking thousands of years worth of history; it’s well known that Egyptian royals were often buried with pots of honey which are often uncovered by modern archaeologists excavating tombs. The most amazing thing of all? Because of the substance’s antibacterial properties, the honey remains unspoiled century after century. Herein lies just one tantalizing reason to introduce honey into your health and wellness routine.

Two "do-it-yourself"s in a row, I know, but here is one that I think you'll really love. As you know, if you read my blog, I'm not a foundation/base girl. I also don't use blush on my cheeks and I'm sure there are times I could use some. This little DIY will give you the perfect amount of color and it's all natural. You know how your cheeks look right after you leave the gym or go for a run? That's how this looks, but it lasts for way more than just a few minutes!
In addition to being the perfect gel tint for cheeks, it's a great lip stain too. Unfortunately, as we age, our lips do begin to shrink and fade. Studies have shown that a clearly defined lip gives us a more youthful appearance. But stop. Before you get drastic and start tattooing them (yes, people actually tattoo their lips,) try this instead. You'll be looking more youthful without all the hassle and cost.
Here's what you'll need:

Early on, when I was in the testing phase, I learned what a typical "refining" process looks like. I was surprised. First, caustic soda or sodium hydroxide is added to the raw oil, followed by bleach. The oil is then “deodorized." Argan oil, from the seed of the Argan tree and sometimes referred to as “liquid gold,” is a great all-around facial oil that led the pack in the facial oil frenzy that came upon the skin care scene a few years ago. I used it and loved it myself. However, the day I discovered Marula oil, I made the switch. It just felt better to me and I knew I had stumbled upon the star ingredient in my skin care line-to-be.
So why is Marula better than Argan?
1) It’s higher in antioxidants and remarkably better at fighting free radicals. In fact, Marula oil typically has 16% more antioxidants than any Argan oil you can find on the market today. In other words, it has powerful anti-aging properties.
Here's what you'll need:
1/2 cup Extra Virgin Coconut Oil: Provides deep and real moisture. It helps strengthen underlying tissues and helps remove excessive dead cell on the skin's surface that makes your skin rough and flaky in texture.
1 teaspoon D.E. Virgin Marula Oil: Hydrating oil that protects, heals and rejuvenates the skin. High in Antioxidants and Omegas 6 & 9.
