What I'm loving now: DIY Drunk Elephant Home Facial...just in time for New Year's Eve!

Happy almost 2014!  I've been messing around in the kitchen again and wanted to share a wonderful, quick facial that you can whip up before your next party.  I'm personally not big on professional facials.  They are expensive and they cause me to break out every single time.  I don't love that a bunch of irritating ingredients are being used either.  I know the whole point of a facial is to feel pampered and relaxed, so automatically you know that essential oils and perfumes are playing a big role in that experience.  So, I do it myself in the comfort of my own home.  I think you'll agree it's a convenient way to give yourself a boost and a great glow.  Here you go:

Plain Greek yogurt (helps cleanse, nourish and repair skin due to lactic acid and enzymes, which are essential for healthy skin)

Fresh pineapple juice (more natural enzymes, I just buy pre-sliced pineapple from the grocery store and take the juice from the bottom)

Pure Green Clay (Montmorillonite or Bentonite will both work here, as they both heal and detoxify skin)

Herbal Tea (finely ground) OR white, fine sugar

Mix together the above ingredients until the clay has enough yogurt and liquid in it to appear smooth and glossy.  You want to be able to easily spread it over your face, neck and chest.  Allow it to dry and once dry, wet your hands and gently, in circular motions, reactivate the mixture to gently buff away surface skin cells.  Rinse off with lukewarm water and immediately apply Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum.  Seal it all in with some Virgin Marula Oil and that's it!  You won't believe how dewy and youthful your skin looks!  You'll have people wondering where you've been and what you've done...

I wish everyone a safe and prosperous new year surrounded by your loved ones!
